Doctrine researches of legal status of head of the state: historical and legal analysis
Abstract
The article contains a comparative legal analysis of doctrine studies about the institute of head of the state in the ancient and medieval periods. A conclusion is done that in the period of antiquity there was considerable influence on head of the state legal status of not so much religious, but philosophical reasoning, based on the human moral and ethics qualities. Contrary to the ancient period, the doctrine researches of medieval epoch were formed under the powerful influence of religion, which was predetermined with the recognition of Christianity as a state religion, strengthening of papal power and development of theological science.
